- About Laura Suzanne -
|
Hello! I am Laura Suzanne Snell, your makeup artist. I am originally from the SF Bay Area, however, I have been living in Las Vegas since 1993. I always had the soul of an artist , yet it was not until the tender age of 35 that I decided to enroll in beauty school, proving that it never too late to follow your dreams. I graduated from Academy of Hair Design in 2003, won “Aesthetician of the Year in 2005” and served as “President of Nevada Aestheticians Professional Association” in 2006. While makeup artistry is my main occupation, I am still available for facials and waxing upon request. The Aesthetician background is an asset to doing makeup as I am very familiar with the different skin tones and types, as well as practicing proper santitation. So, don’t be surprised if I break out the tweezers and remove a few stray hairs before I apply your makeup. I do love a clean, well shaped brow! I have a taken many additional makeup courses and worked with several cosmetic lines including MAC, Cinema Secrets, Kett, Trucco, Tony and Tina, Delux, Too Faced, Emani and many more. I was very fortunate to have been mentored by Maurice Stein, owner and founder of Cinema Secrets and Mycki Manning, Celebrity Makeup Artist. I have assisted many top artists and learned a great deal from working with them. I keep my education current by attending makeup classes and forums several times a year and networking with other artists and stylists. I pack a very clean and professional kit all the way from my top of line brushes to stainless steel mixing palettes and spatulas, disposable applicators, sponges and powder puffs, brush cleaner and hand sanitizer.
With HD television and photography, Airbrush Makeup has become increasingly
popular and that is a service I offer as well. Standard makeup still
works, however, airbrush is more light and sheer and takes far less time in the application. I use an Iwata compressor and Kett and Dinair foundations which offer and array of beautiful, yet natural looking colors.
